SARANAC LAKE — BluSeed Studios is honored to bring back two-time grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Eliza Gilkyson at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2 in the gallery at 24 Cedar St.

Gilkyson has become one of the most respected musicians in folk, roots, and American circles. She has been featured on NPR, Austin City Limits, and Mountain Stage and has toured worldwide as a solo artist and in support of performers such as Richard Thompson, Patty Griffin, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Dan Fogelberg.

Eliza’s songs have been covered by artists such as Joan Baez and Rosanne Cash. They have been used in films, in PBS specials, and on prime-time television. The artist herself has been inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame and recognized with countless Austin Music and Folk Alliance awards.

May 2 is also the kick-off of Eat Adk Restaurant Week. BluSeed Studios is partnering with the Eat Adk committee and the Eat Adk Backpack Program to help ring in the week of restaurant hopping in Saranac Lake. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the Eat Adk team will speak at 7 p.m. prior to the 7:30 concert. There will be menus from participating restaurants and an opportunity to contribute items for the food drive for youth. Some of the items needed are juice boxes, cereal bars, pop tarts, mac and cheese, ravioli, ramen noodles, and crackers.
