LAKE PLACID — John Brown Farm will host a free, guided walk through the North Elba Cemetery, in honor of Veteran’s Day and Union soldiers of the Civil War, at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 11. Participants invited to share the stories of veterans of any war who are buried in the cemetery. Organizers and participants will meet at the traffic circle at 115 John Brown Road and make a brief stop at the gravesite of John Brown and his men, then drive from the traffic circle the short distance to the cemetery on Old Military Road.

The walk will be on level ground, with stops throughout, so dressing for the weather is advised. Participants are requested to register by calling or texting 518-806-9719 at least a day ahead. Registration is also possible through the John Brown Farm Facebook page.
