Annual Jewish Food Festival in Potsdam this month

POTSDAM — Congregation Beth El in Potsdam will be hosting its 43rd Annual Jewish Food Festival on Sunday, Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the synagogue located at 81 Market St. in Potsdam.

The festival is open to all, featuring specialty Jewish foods, live Jewish folk music, raffles and a Chanukah holiday gift sale.

The main floor will feature live music, a bake sale offering both home-baked goods and baked goods from Montreal, and the gift shop selling items such as candles, dreidels, menorahs, jewelry and decorations for Chanukah.

Downstairs, guests will be welcomed into a traditional Kosher-style restaurant serving familiar foods like matzah ball soup, bagels, hummus, potato latkes, falafel, noodle kugel, cheese blintzes, potato knishes and gefilte fish, as well as plenty of Jewish desserts.

Cash and cards are accepted for all items. All leftover food will be donated to local organizations, and the proceeds from the event go directly to the synagogue’s religious and cultural programs.

Starting at $3.92/week.
