Library crawl runs through October

SARANAC LAKE — A total of 30 libraries within the Clinton-Essex-Franklin Library System are participating in the Fall Library Crawl taking place this month.

Patrons can pick up a passport at any participating library and get it stamped at each library they visit. Once they’ve collected five or more stamps, they may turn their passport back in to any participating library to be entered into raffle drawings. To earn extra raffle entries, patrons may also pick up a scavenger hunt packet and answer a specific question about each library as they visit them. More correct answers get more entries into the drawings.

Winners will receive an assortment of books, including autographed copies of local New York Times bestselling author Kate Messner’s books.

The event started Oct. 1 and runs through Oct. 31. Passports and scavenger hunts must be turned in by Nov. 3 to be eligible for the drawings.

Local participating libraries include Saranac Lake Free Library, Lake Placid Public Library, Tupper Lake Goff-Nelson Memorial Library, Keene Public Library, Keene Valley Library Association and Wilmington E.M. Cooper Memorial Library.

The full list of libraries, more information and printable passports and scavenger hunts can be found at cefls.org/library-crawl.

Starting at $3.92/week.
