Saranac Lake ArtWorks announces return of studio tours

SARANAC LAKE — Saranac Lake ArtWorks has announced the return of its studio tours at the end of the month. As free, self-guided events, studio tours offers an opportunity to step inside the creative spaces of over a dozen local artists. From oil paintings and photography to woodwork and plein air landscapes, studio tours showcase the vibrant diversity of artistic talent in and around Saranac Lake.
Visitors will have the chance to meet artists in their home studios and gallery spaces, watch live demonstrations and see works in progress, purchase original artwork directly from the creators while following a curated list of studio and gallery locations.
Featured galleries include the Adirondack Artists Guild, NorthWind Fine Arts, Step Mother Nature, Tupper Arts, Downtown Artist Cellar and Gallery 46. Individual studios such as those of Sandra Hildreth, Mark Kurtz, Diane Leifheit, Stephen Horne, Georgeanne Gaffney, Edith Urban, Martha Jackson, Mark Paul and more.
A map and list with artist information will be available at participating downtown galleries and is available online at saranaclakeartworks.org. Tours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sep. 27 and Sept. 28. Large, colorful studio tour yard signs will be located at studios in remote locations. Some studios have modified hours.
