SARANAC LAKE — The Franklin and Essex County Soil and Water Conservation Districts are partnering together to host a free septic workshop open to the public at the Saranac Lake Free Library at 109 Main St. on Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m.

Guest speaker James Moser, from Moser Engineering, will discuss layman-friendly topics related to septic systems and how they work.

There will be several promotions for local programs and opportunities for landowners regarding septic system work, including the Lake Education and Action Program, homeowner assessments and other septic system replacement grants included in Franklin County.
