Free kids’ weeklong theater camp applications due by July 15
LAKE PLACID – Applications are now open for North Country School’s “Impactful Voices” Theater Camp 2025, running July 28 through Aug. 1 at the school’s Lake Placid campus. This weeklong theater camp is available to all interested North Country children ages 10-17 and offers area youth an opportunity to explore their creativity, build confidence and use their voices through the performing arts. “Impactful Voices” aims to empower youth participants by providing a platform to create their unique performance piece over the week.
The camp is free of charge, and lunch is provided for all participants.

“This Impact Theater Camp dives into the transformative power of theater and its ability to give a voice to young people,” said Courtney Allen, theater teacher at North Country School. “Campers will be the playwrights, the set designers and builders, the costumers, and the actors.”
Participants will debut their performance for friends, family, and the public on Friday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. in the WallyPAC’s Don Rand Theater. A reception will be held after the performance with an actor talkback.
