SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Department of Public Works will begin hydrant flushing on Monday in the Park Avenue, downtown, French Hill and Old Lake Colby areas. Flushing the River street, Helen Hill, College and Turtle Pond areas will be Tuesday, and Lake Street, Kiwassa and Riverside Drive areas will be Wednesday. Flushing will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

“We are asking residents or businesses [that] experience dirty or discolored water to let their water taps run for approximately 15 minutes,” the department wrote in a news release.
