- “Mesmerized in Blue” by Kathy Ford (Provided art)
SARANAC LAKE — “Captured Moments” is October’s featured artist exhibit at the Adirondack Artists Guild Gallery by newest member, painter Kathy Ford.
Ford’s show offers an evocative blend of watercolors with a few acrylics that bring to life moments from her favorite travel adventures and the natural beauty of her Adirondack home in Saranac Lake. Her paintings are a testament to her keen attention to detail and her deep appreciation for her surroundings. Each piece captures a moment in time, preserved to evoke the original ambiance and sentiment that moved her to paint.
Ford is an artist with a passion for painting realistic natural and urban scenes with watercolors and acrylics. With a background as a graphic designer spanning four decades, she brings her refined eye and deep sense of composition to each of her pieces. Ford signs her paintings with “Kass,” capturing her childhood nickname.
“Captured Moments” will be on view at the gallery for the month of October, with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. The show closes on Oct. 29.
