SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Tri-Lakes Business Expo at the Saranac Lake Civic Center on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The expo will be free and open from 4:30 to 6 p.m. All business types are invited to register. The chamber invites businesses throughout the Tri-Lakes region and beyond to participate and attend.

This year the expo will feature “Tastes and Sips,” complimentary samples area businesses including Origin Coffee, Left Bank Cafe, RiverTrail Beerworks, The Belvedere, Romano’s Saranac Lanes and Hex and Hop. A variety of door prizes, donated by area businesses, will be given away and it will be an afternoon of networking, conversations and opportunities to engage with area businesses. This year there will also be an “Artist’s Corner” featuring local artists with a variety of mediums.

“We are excited to be hosting this event and we encourage everyone to attend,” said Rachel Karp, executive director of the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. “There is incredible value in knowing who you are doing business with, whether it’s your electricity provider, your bank, or your insurance provider. An important part of our chamber work is to showcase our businesses to the community and the expo will be an excellent opportunity to do just that.”

The expo will open for exhibitors at 2 p.m. with keynote speaker Dan Kelleher, new president and CEO of the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism. The expo will also include breakout sessions featuring Lisa Brown, founder and CEO of CST Group, offering “From Exposed to Secure: Navigating Success in the Cyber Age”; Nicole Ouellette, founder and owner of Breaking Even Communications, “So AI Exists, Now What”; and an “Ask Me Anything” panel with Tiffany Rae-Fisher from the Adirondack Diversity Initiative and Kelly Metzgar from Adirondack North Country Gender Alliance. Exhibitors will also have the opportunity to attend a moderated, fun, fast-paced, speed networking session.

There will be over 50 businesses in attendance from a variety of industry sectors including health and wellness, insurance, banking, non-profits, real estate, professional services and more.
