LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Sinfonietta features “Saint-Sans Cello Concerto No. 1” with Tommy Mesa as cello soloist at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts on Saturday.

Mesa has been the soloist at the U.S. Supreme Court four times and with major orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the symphony orchestras of Indianapolis, Madison, New Jersey, San Antonio and Santa Barbara.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in the center’s auditorium with Stuart Malina conducting.
