Missing Tupper Lake woman and child found unharmed

TUPPER LAKE — A Tupper Lake woman and her eight-month-old baby have been located and are unharmed after they went missing for almost 48 hours.

Paige Marie Garvey, 31, and her daughter, Helena, were found “unharmed and in safe condition” on Thursday evening, according to Tupper Lake police.

Garvey and last seen leaving their residence on Main Street in Tupper Lake around 8:27 p.m. on Tuesday and were reported missing on Wednesday afternoon. Police said that Garvey and Helena were believed to be with Garvey’s ex and Helena’s father, Chad M. Bruce, 31, of Saranac.

Tupper Lake police opened an investigation into Garvey’s disappearance on Wednesday after receiving reports that Garvey could not be found or contacted.
