At the race finish line at the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club, Bernie Branch, one of the area’s top guitarists and vocalists, will perform.

Parking at the finish line is free; however, donations in any amount will be accepted to benefit the King family of Tupper Lake, who recently lost their home and business in a fire.

Racers and spectators are sure to enjoy the live music, the Elk’s Club’s famous barbecue chicken dinner, the Women’s Civic Chamber bake sale, St. Armand Youth Commission popcorn sales, Hex and Hop libations, soda and water, a free children’s bouncy house, the Loon Conservation Center booth, the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club memberships and 10 gun raffle tickets. Vendors who may wish to join the finish line festivities give the organizers a call at 505-235-1268 or email greensideofthebigapple@gmail.com. Race results will be posted, perpetual trophies displayed and awards will be given at the race’s end.

Local businessman Sam Grimone of Woods and Waters is spearheading a new addition to the finish line in which registered entrants, who do not finish in the top three, draw for a chance to win a prize. Local merchants have donated or are donating prizes that include gift certificates, puzzles, baseball hats, pizza, corn maze entries and car washes.
