‘Ode to Water and Trees’ opens at LPCA gallery Aug. 8
LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Center for the Arts will host an exhibit by photographer Lynn Savarese titled “Ode to Water and Trees” starting Aug. 8.
The exhibit will run through Sept. 21 in the Gallery @ LPCA, 17 Algonquin Dr., Lake Placid.
For Savarese, the greatest joy of photography is experiencing the intimate observation of elements from the natural world. Both water and trees — in all of their manifestations and seasons — are her favorite subjects to capture. As humankind’s most intimate and nurturing companions in nature, both water and trees provide for us in countless essential ways, and Savarese’s “Ode to Water and Trees” exhibition is meant to honor them and express the great wonder and profound gratitude they inspire in her.
The Gallery @ LPCA is open Thursday through Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. and visiting the gallery is free. There will be extended hours July 3 to Aug. 11: Wednesday to Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.
All are invited to attend the opening reception for the exhibit on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Gallery @ LPCA. More information can be found online at lakeplacidarts.org/exhibit/lynnsavarese.
