Artists in residence at Lake Placid Film Festival announced
LAKE PLACID — Despite the summery weather, work is already underway for this fall’s 2024 Lake Placid Film Festival from Nov. 7-10.
Adirondack Film on Tuesday unveiled the industry experts selected for this year’s Artists in Residence program. Acclaimed film and television producer Jonathan Burkhart and WGA Award winning screenwriter Jacob Kreuger will attend November’s Lake Placid Film Festival to lend their expertise and impart their expansive knowledge to attendees throughout the long weekend.
For decades, Burkhart has produced media for companies such as Disney and Paramount, while also working to elevate emerging artists as the founder and president of the Nantucket Film Festival. In his Artist in Residence panels, Burkhart will explore film financing, pre-production and practical producing techniques.
In addition to his personal screenwriting credits, Kreuger founded the Jacob Kreuger Studio, which has helped thousands of writers grow their screenwriting craft, from Academy and Tony Award winners, to beginning writers picking up the pen for the first time. Kreuger will bring this teaching experience to his screenwriting and pitching Artist in Residence panels.
