Saranac Lake will mill, pave several streets

SARANAC LAKE — The village of Saranac Lake Department of Public Works will begin milling Main Street between Church Street and Broadway and Broadway between Woodruff Street and Main Street (Berkeley hill) at 7 a.m. Monday, June 17.

Immediately afterward, Main Street crews will move to Pine Street to mill between Dugway and Fawn Street. If this section is not completed on Monday, crew will finish the next day.

On June 18 and 19, crews will begin milling Winona Avenue then move to Petrova Avenue between Lake Street and the entrance to the Bus Circle. On Thursday and Friday, crews will finish cleaning up in these areas for preparation for paving, starting 7 a.m. Monday, June 24.

On June 24, crews will begin paving on Main Street and Pine Street. On June 25, they will finish paving on Pine Street and move to Winona Avenue. On June 26, crews will finish paving Winona Avenue and begin paving Petrova. On June 27, they will move back to Main Street to complete the final pave.

During the weeks of June 17 and June 24, no on street parking will be allowed in the areas mentioned above until all work is completed. The schedule is subject to change. Roads will be closed to local traffic only, and motorists should expect delays. For questions, call the DPW office at 518-891-4160.
