RAY BROOK — The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 20 at the agency’s headquarters on state Route 86 in Ray Brook.

Public comment will be available to members of the public who attend the meeting in person as well as those who participate remotely. People who want to make a public comment remotely should email their name and the phone number used to call into the board meeting to agencymeeting.publiccomment@apa.ny.gov. Those who sign up for public comment will be limited to three minutes each. Public comment will not be accepted on any agenda items that are before the board.

At 9:30 a.m., the full agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, public comment and other procedural actions.

At 10 a.m., the Park Ecology Committee will convene for a joint presentation on carbon data usage in New York state. Dr. Colin Beier, associate professor at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry will provide an update on the New York State Carbon Assessment Report, and Ian Crisman, climate forester for the state Department of Environmental Conservation’s Division of Lands and Forest will follow with examples of how carbon assessment products are being used by the Division. APA staff will provide concluding remarks on how carbon data can aid in the agency review process.

At 11 a.m., the Public Awareness and Communications Committee will host a Community Spotlight with town of Ausable Supervisor Tim Bresett, who will provide an overview presentation and discussion about the town.

At 1 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider four proposals to use the aquatic herbicide ProcellaCOR EC to control Eurasian watermilfoil. The first is within a 3.6-acre area of Lake George’s Sheep Meadow Bay (aka Jeliffe-Knight Bay) in the Warren County town of Hague. The second is within a 4.0-acre area of Lake George’s Blair’s Bay in the town of Hague. The third is within six treatment zones in Highlands Forge Lake in the Essex County town of Willsboro. The fourth is within three treatment zones in Chateaugay Lake in the Clinton County town of Ellenburg and the Franklin County town of Bellmont.

At 4 p.m., the full agency will convene to take any necessary actions.
