Annual Kiddie Parade returns July 4

SARANAC LAKE — Decorate your wagons, bikes, strollers — and of course, your family — with this year’s theme of “Bees, Bugs, and Other Things” for the 69th annual Fourth of July Kiddie Parade, hosted by Women’s Civic Chamber of Saranac Lake.

No pre-registration needed to participate. The parade will be held rain or shine, but a thunderstorm will cancel.

Check-in will be behind St. Bernard’s School in the school’s parking lot between 9 a.m. and 9:45 am. Enjoy meeting Winter Carnival King Ricky and Queen Liz, face-painting for kids and help with last minute decorations. Every participant gets a flag.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. sharp on Church Street by the First Presbyterian Church, turning left onto Main Street and arriving at Riverside Park on Lake Flower. Organizers are encouraging anyone not participating in the parade to line Main Street and cheer the families on.

At Riverside Park, a short ceremony will be held, with all children receiving a goodie bag courtesy of the Women’s Civic Chamber. The Saranac Lake Rotary Club will be on hand to offer free SnoCones.

Starting at $4.75/week.
