Third Thursday ArtWalk tradition continues in SL

Katie Roemer was selling stickers and jewelry at the ArtWalk in August 2023. Roemer started painting in college and started making stickers more than a year ago as an affordable, accessible and approachable medium for her art. “Anybody can buy a sticker,” she said. She’s seen people put them on their phones, laptops, water bottles and coolers. “It’s something that you can put on things that you take with you everywhere,” Roemer said. “It just brings a little bit of personal joy to the belongings you bring with you.” (Enterprise photo — Aaron Marbone)

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Chamber of Commerce and Saranac Lake ArtWorks are calling for artists interested in participating in the Third Thursday ArtWalks.

Local artists of any age, working in all genres and with all skill levels are asked to register for this free summer event, held June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19. Registered artists will line the streets from 5 to 7:30 p.m. selling and demonstrating their handmade creative works.

This community tradition has taken over the streets of Saranac Lake for more than 25 years, bringing artists, crafters, authors, artisans and performers to the sidewalks and parks of downtown Saranac Lake. Anyone interested should visit saranaclakeartworks.org to learn more and to register online.

The activities of ArtWorks are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
