SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Department of Public Works will begin hydrant flushing next week.

Flushing will happen Monday, April 22, in the Lake Street area, and next Tuesday, April 23, in the River street Helen Hill area, as well as on Wednesday, April 24 in the Park Avenue area. Thursday, April 25 will be an alternate date if weather prevents the department from flushing on one of these days. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We are asking that if residents and businesses experience dirty water to let their taps to run for approximately 15 minute to allow the water to clear up inside their homes,” the department wrote in a news release.
