Asbury Short Film Concert returns April 19

LAKE PLACID — Asbury Shorts USA, New York City’s longest running, non-competitive short film exhibition and touring show, will present its 43rd Asbury Short Film Concert on Friday, April 19 at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts.

The first film will start at 7 p.m. This short film series combines classic world-renowned shorts from the past with current festival honorees, providing an opportunity for audiences to see globally honored films on a real cinema screen rather than on a computer, smart phone or tablet.

The event is part of Adirondack Film’s “See Something That Means Something” film series. Doug LeClaire, the founder and director of Asbury Shorts USA, will serve as the screenings host. The 43rd Asbury Short Film Concert is strongly suggested for ages 16 and up.

The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is located at 17 Algonquin Drive in Lake Placid. For more information, visit www.adirondackfilm.org. For more details about the film in the program, call 718-510-6929.
