Almanzo Wilder Homestead open during eclipse

BURKE — In anticipation of visitors who will be coming to the North Country for the 2024 solar eclipse, the Almanzo Wilder Homestead in Burke will open to visitors for two days.

The Wilder home and the visitor center with museum and gift shop will be open on April 7 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and on April 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Visitors are invited to view the eclipse from the Wilder grounds and eclipse glasses will be available. Self-guided tours will be offered with guides on hand in the house and museum. Reduced tour admissions will be $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, $5 for youth ages 6 to 16, and children 5 and under will be free.
