4 charged in Tupper Lake warrant search
TUPPER LAKE — On Thursday, the State Police Troop B Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team and Community Stabilization Unit executed a search warrant at 13 Fourth St. in Tupper Lake with the assistance of the village police department.
According to the State Police, a resident of the home was allegedly harboring a fugitive wanted for sentencing in Franklin County Court. Upon executing the warrant, quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine were found and seized, as well as illegal weapons and weapons components, which included extended magazines and ammunition, brass knuckles, a pistol and an imitation pistol. Four people were charged as a result of the search.
Eric T. Snyder, 35, of Tupper Lake, was charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, as well as four counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of third-degree hindering prosecution, all misdemeanors. He was arraigned in the Tupper Lake Village Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
Justin R. Drasye, 40, homeless, was charged with one count of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies, as well as one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. His arrest stemmed from an ongoing VGNET investigation of a traffic stop from which Drasye allegedly fled. He was located hiding in a shed on the property. He was arraigned in the Tupper Lake Town Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail without bail.
Tucker Kentile, 33, of Tupper Lake, was arrested on a Franklin County Court warrant for failure to appear for sentencing. He had allegedly been evading apprehension and was found inside the residence. He was remanded to Franklin County Jail without bail and is awaiting sentencing on a prior felony conviction.
Ray A. Putney, 40, of Lisbon, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
