SARANAC LAKE — The Rotary Club of Saranac Lake will host its Winter Carnival Show at the Harrietstown Town Hall on Friday, Feb. 9.

For more than 90 years, Rotary has delighted audiences with this variety show, which includes local musicians, regional entertainers, Carnival Royalty and their very own Rotary dancers, displaying healthy doses of big fun and good humor. The show has been produced nearly every year since the Saranac Lake Rotary Club was founded in 1926.

The Rotary Show is an annual rite of passage held on the second Friday of Winter Carnival and is the club’s signature fundraiser. All proceeds serve the Saranac Lake region via the Rotary Community Grants program.

This year, the show will open with Winter Carnival Royalty, followed by performances from the Saranac Lake High School Choral Ensembles, Frankie and the Moonlighters, Dance Sanctuary and Soma Beats. Master of Ceremonies Sandy Gothard will keep the show rolling. In a typical year, with more than 600 seats sold out, Harrietstown Town Hall as residents and visitors attend this celebrated village event.

The show will start at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased in advance for $20 at Ampersound, NBT Bank and Saranac Lake Chamber of Commerce or $25 online at http://tinyurl.com/3h9asy7y or at the door. The show typically sells out, so get your tickets early.

There will also be baked goods and water on offer for additional fundraising.

Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for a Rotary Community Grant at https://portal.clubrunner.ca/514. Grant awards typically range from $200 to $1,000. Similar to more than 30,000 other Rotary Clubs around the world, making Saranac Lake a better place is the primary purpose of the club.

The Saranac Lake Rotary Club is also inviting visitors and potential members for coffee Tuesdays at 7:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s Parish Hall. To learn more about the club, visit www.saranaclakerotary.org.
