LAKE PLACID — The John Brown Farm State Historic Site will host Christmas in the Adirondacks tours of the farmhouse this month.

A mid-day craft program will be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Barn Meeting Room. Holiday greeting card stamping and paper snowflake-making will be accompanied by light refreshments and discussion of how the Brown family celebrated Christmas. That evening, the historic house will open from 4 to 9 p.m.

Evening tours will also be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Dec. 17 and 22 with lights and decorations depicting holiday traditions from the 1850s.
