Jolene Widrick waves as she, her husband Darl and their daughter Brooke take off on a railbike from the Tupper Lake Depot on Sunday afternoon. This was their first time on a railbike and the family from Lowville was settling in for a 6-mile round trip in the vibrant fall scenery. “We purchased our tickets quite a while ago, so it was a little bit of a gamble,” Jolene said. They had warm temperatures, bright skies and full-color Adirondack foliage, so the gamble paid off.
