Ross coming to Champlain Centre

PLATTSBURGH — Nearly two years on, Champlain Centre is filling the vacant 20,000-square-foot space left behind by Best Buy’s departure.

On Oct. 7, Ross Dress for Less (Ross), a nationally recognized off-price retailer of clothing and home décor, will take over that space and bring move variety to the mall’s offerings.

“We are thrilled to bring Ross Dress for Less to Plattsburgh,” General Manager of Champlain Centre, Lisa Getty, said.

“They are a well-known, well-loved retailer with great names at great savings, and will be a destination store for our region and beyond.”

Ross is the largest off-price apparel and home fashion chain in the United States with 1,722 locations in 41 states, the District of Columbia and Guam.

Ross offers first-quality, in-season, name brand and designer apparel, accessories, footwear, and home fashions for the entire family at savings of 20% to 60% off department and specialty store regular prices every day.

“With the addition of Ross Dress for Less, Champlain Centre Mall further solidifies its position as a premier shopping destination in the region,” Champlain Centre said in a news release.

Town Supervisor Michael Cashman said he was delighted to soon welcome Ross Dress for Less to the Town of Plattsburgh.

“They are known for offering exceptional value and will undoubtedly make them a landmark destination for both our residents and visitors to our region,” he said.

“We are excited to continue to see businesses like Ross Dress for Less take an interest in locating in the Town Center, well known as (the) commercial economic driver of our region.”
