$1M Powerball ticket sold at Clayton store

CLAYTON — A Powerball ticket worth $1 million was purchased at a convenience store in the North Country’s Thousand Islands area.

The New York State Lottery announced Thursday that the second prize-winning ticket was sold at Sliders Food Mart in Clayton.

The first prize-winning ticket, worth $1.08 billion, was sold in California.

A third place ticket worth $50,000 was sold at Joe’s Kwik Mart at 1268 Arsenal St. in Watertown, according to the Lottery.
