BLOOMINGDALE — The cast of the “HotBox Murder” murder mystery play will perform in Bloomingdale this weekend to raise money toward the opening of a new daycare center.

The June 3 performance of “HotBox Murder” will take place at 1640 state Route 3 in Bloomingdale, the future site of the Lil’ Tykes Daycare and Enrichment Center. Lindsey Murray, a former St. Bernard’s School teacher, bought the former St. Paul’s church and plans to open Lil’ Tykes there in an effort to help address the local child care desert.

Tickets are $20 per person. Doors open at 6:01 p.m. with snacks and refreshments; the show starts at 7:02 pm. Reservations can be made at: liltykesbloomingdale@gmail.com.

The murder of Harvey Wallbanger is the setting for “HotBox Murder.” With performances at the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival and other stops in the Adirondacks, this is an audience participation play where the audience has a chance to solve the homicide.

The cast stars Peggy Orman, Jameson Batt, Janeen Streeter, Jon Fremante and Jessica Deeb.

Organizers say this play is intended for an adult audience.
