Adirondack Singers announce concert

SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Singers annual Winter Holiday Concert returns this Sunday. Dec. 4, after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions. The concert will be held at the Saranac Lake Methodist Church, at the corner of Church Street and St. Bernard Street in Saranac Lake, at 2 p.m. Donations of $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students are suggested.

Karen Butters, the musical director for more than 20 years, has selected a program of audience favorites, reflecting the programs presented over the more than 35 years of annual concerts by the Singers. Among the selections will be Mozart’s Gloria Deo from the 12th Mass, several spirituals, traditional carols and familiar holiday songs. The Singers are proud to introduce its new accompanist, Kathy Cross, at this concert.

The Singers are comprised of residents from the Tri-Lakes area and as far away as Paul Smith’s and Indian Lake. All adults who love to sing, who can learn the musical pieces and who love to perform in concerts are welcome to join. Weekly Tuesday rehearsals will resume in January 2023, in preparation for annual spring concerts in May 2023. For more information, contact Beryl Szwed at 518-891-5008.
