Tupper Lake village police are asking hikers, hunters and outdoor enthusiasts around the Stoney Creek Assembly Area/Raquette Falls trailhead to stay vigilant for sight of a missing man.

Jordan Beaulieu, 32, was last seen on Oct. 1 and last heard from on Oct. 3, according to a press release from the police department. Beaulieu is a white man, approximately 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and around 165 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about Beaulieu’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Tupper Lake Police Department at 518-359-3776.

On Saturday, police said they got a lead that Beaulieu was known to camp around Coreys Road near Tupper Lake. State Department of Environmental Conservation Police joined the search and found Beaulieu’s vehicle, unoccupied, at the trailhead.

State Police and DEC forest rangers are also now involved in the “intensive search” of the forest, which began on Sunday, and volunteers are spreading out to search the woods in search of Beaulieu or evidence pointing to his whereabouts.

“Individuals locating physical evidence that they believe may lead to Jordan are requested to refrain from touching it, take note of the description of the evidence and its location, and contact 911 as soon as possible,” according to a TLPD press release.

TLPD Chief Eric Proulx said on Friday that Beaulieu was reported missing to police on Oct. 14 and that police officers have been gathering subpoenas and search warrants for bank accounts and personal information on Beaulieu to locate him. Proulx said TLPD did not request public input on the search earlier because they were waiting for the identity of a man killed in a truck fire off Washington Street in the village on Oct. 16. State Police reported on Oct. 18 that the man in this fatal fire was Ross Goodenough, of Dexter.
