Kits for the kids

Piper Teig, a student with the Saranac Lake Youth Center, helps assemble hygiene kits for students in the Saranac Lake Central School District at the center on Friday. SLYC Director Aleacia Landon said Suburban Propane gave the youth center a $5,000 grant to create more than 100 hygiene kits and to contribute to the center’s clothing fund, which goes to kids in the community who need help buying clothing necessities. The hygiene kits have essential supplies like soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, menstrual products and deodorant. (Enterprise photo — Lauren Yates)
