Winter Carnival committee raffles Trudeau buttons

The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Committee recently celebrated the opening of its History Hut and Gift Shop. Located at the Lake Flower boat launch during Carnival, the History Hut will display photos and memorabilia of Carnivals past and present. The gift shop will sell Carnival related items such as buttons, flags and posters, among other desirable keepsakes. The History Hut and Gift shop is the long-time dream of Winter Carnival Chairman Jeff Branch. “It is critical to keep the history of Winter Carnival preserved for future generations,” Branch said. The History Hut and Gift shop will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10-6 p.m. now through Carnival. Hours are subject to change based on availability of volunteers. (Provided photo)

The raffle tickets will be sold during Winter Carnival at its History Hut Gift Shop and Headquarters located at the Lake Flower Boat launch, at Ampersound Music, the Saranac Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.

Tickets are also available through mail order by sending a check payable to Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Committee, attention Barb Martin, P.O. Box 566, Saranac Lake, New York 12983. For more information, contact Barb Martin at 518-891-2382.
