She said the last call for sending Christmas presents by mail — and having them arrive by the holiday — is fast approaching. Dec. 15 is the final date FedEx has given for packages to be in the mail and arrive by Christmas, she said. But with the dual factors of COVID-19 and Christmas putting strain on the shipping industry, the sooner packages are sent, the better, she added. “Our shipping exploded when COVID happened,” Gagnon said.
