Tupper Lake teen OK after car crash
SARANAC LAKE — A Tupper Lake teen walked away from a car crash uninjured on Tuesday.
The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department and New York State Police responded to a report of a one car crash on state Route 3, just west of the Second Pond Boat Launch, at 5:52 a.m. Tuesday. The fire department responded with one truck and four members.
State Police say Sara Trabakoulos, 17, of Tupper Lake, was traveling east on state Route 3 when she swerved to avoid a deer crossing the roadway. Trabakoulos lost control of the car and crossed into the westbound lane and off the west shoulder. She struck a ditch and her car overturned, police say. She was not injured.
While State Police investigated, the fire department provided traffic control. The fire department was back in service at 7:20 a.m.
