Volunteers invited to John Brown Farm cleanup day

LAKE PLACID — Volunteers are welcome to join nonprofit group John Brown Lives for general cleanup, flower planting and trail cleanup at John Brown Farm State Historic Site Saturday, May 1, starting at 10 a.m.

It is one of more than 100 cleanup, improvement and beautification events happening statewide for I Love My Park Day.

I Love My Park Day is coordinated at the statewide level by Parks & Trails New York in partnership with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.
