TUPPER LAKE — Tupper Arts is excited to announce that its Capital Campaign launched in December 2020 has exceeded the $25,000 match from Joe and Rena Sellin of Gull Pond. With this match, the current total raised is $51,345.

In addition, the Aseel Legacy Fund has given a $25,000 pledge to match future donations to the campaign. This fund was established by Alfred Moneer Aseel in memory of his parents Alfred Abraham and Fadwa Khechen Aseel. One intent of it is “to promote sustainable projects that will enhance and improve the Tupper Lake community and lifestyle of its residents.”

The money raised from Tupper Arts’ Capital Campaign, as outlined by Board President Susan Delehanty, is “to finance the purchase and renovation of the Tupper Arts Center (TAC) at 106 Park St. in Tupper Lake, NY.” There are renovation plans for the facade of the building that “will create an attractive upgrade to the Park St. business community.” Infrastructure upgrades, including interior lighting, foundation work and an updated purification and ventilation system will also be included.

Tupper Arts is asking for help to meet this current $25,000 match, which would bring its total raised to more than $100,000. Donations can be made online at www.tupperarts.org, or by mailing donations to Tupper Arts, 106 Park St., Tupper Lake, NY 12986.
