LAKE PLACID — With the Lake Placid village election coming up, the Adirondack Daily Enterprise and Lake Placid News will host virtual candidate forums on Zoom on the evening of Sunday, March 7.

The mayoral candidates, Art Devlin and Jamie Rogers, will begin their forum at 6 p.m. The trustee candidates — Marc Galvin, Colin Hayes, Jackie Kelly, Scott Monroe — will begin their forum at 7:30 p.m. Both forums will be livestreamed and archived on the Lake Placid News Facebook page and YouTube channel.

ADE Managing Editor Peter Crowley and LPN Editor Andy Flynn will host the candidate forums.

The village election is Tuesday, March 16.

The Saranac Lake village election is the same day, but no forum will be held because there is only one candidate for one seat: Kelly Brunette to complete an unfinished term on the Board of Trustees.
