TUPPER LAKE — AARP’s Tax-Aide program offers free preparation and filing of federal and state income tax returns in Tupper Lake and surrounding areas.

The program will provide confidential tax preparation by IRS-certified volunteers and is open to all.

This year, new procedures to meet COVID-19 safety protocols will minimize in-person interactions, with much of the work and contact done remotely. As a result, clients will need email and access to a computer, smartphone or similar device. At the same time, the emphasis on remote interaction may make the program more accessible for potential clients in Saranac Lake or elsewhere.
