Smooth move

The process of making ice on the Olympic Speedskating Oval in Lake Placid began Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, as state Olympic Regional Development Authority crews use a water truck to lay down water, which freezes into layers of ice. This process usually takes several days of work. As with all ORDA venues, COVID-19 precautions will be taken. (Provided photo — Christie Sausa)
