LAKE PLACID — This village’s Adirondack Bank location will shift to drive-thru and appointment-only lobby service starting Monday.

The company announced its decision on Friday “for the well-being of its employees and customers, and to help reduce the risk of transmission of the coronavirus,” according to a news release. The change is effective Monday until further notice.

This change is also happening at the bank’s Utica, Herkimer, Boonville and Rome locations.

“As we all know, 2020 has been a trying year. Although we have many things to look forward to with the holidays and the new year approaching, we cannot look past the current situation,” President and CEO Rocco F. Arcuri said in a statement. “Adirondack Bank remains focused on protecting our customers’ and employees’ well-being first and foremost. The temporary operational changes that we are once again implementing allow us to do so while continuing to safely service our local communities.”

Drive-thru service will be available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The branch lobby will be closed to walk-in customers.

Adirondack Bank’s online banking, mobile banking, telephone banking, LiveChat, night drop depositories and ATMs continue to operate normally.

If customers have questions regarding their accounts, Adirondack Bank’s change in branch operations, or would like to make an appointment for lobby service, they can contact the customer service center during operating hours at 315-272-2500 or 877-404-2265 and select option 1.
