SARANAC LAKE — This month, artist Lee Ann Sporn presents a collection of colored pencil drawings at NorthWind Fine Arts Gallery.

Sporn’s exhibit runs through the month of October at the gallery, which features the work of Adirondacks artists.

Inspired by Martha Reben’s tuberculosis-era books “The Healing Woods” and “The Way of the Wilderness,” and by her own healing adventures in the woods during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sporn’s show is titled “Those We Meet.”

“I share with Martha the feeling that our chance encounters with members of the animal kingdom are simultaneously joyful, sacred and restorative,” said Sporn in a statement.

Gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the NorthWind Fine Arts Gallery is at 11 Woodruff St., Saranac Lake.
