LPCA calls artists to submit for Open Juried Art Show

LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is encouraging artists of all genres and media to submit work for the annual LPCA Open Juried Art Show. This show is designed to highlight the talent and vision of artists in and around New York’s North Country.

This year the Gallery @ LPCA is accepting digital submissions only. Work should be submitted online between Sept. 7 and 13, accompanied by a non-refundable entry fee of $15 per piece. No more than four entries per artist. Jurors will determine exhibited and non-exhibited works and awards. A list of exhibited works will be posted at LakePlacidArts.org on Wednesday, Sept. 16. The show will hang in the Gallery @ LPCA from Oct. 1 through Nov. 14.

The LPCA invites the public to attend a special, socially distanced reception for the exhibit on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 4 to 7 p.m. and to explore a new, online component that will go live during the third week of the exhibit.

More information, including the prospectus and online entry form, can be obtained at https://www.lakeplacidarts.org/gallery/upcoming-shows/lpca-open-juried-art-show or by calling Anya Villeneuve at 518-523-2512.
