LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Sinfonietta is hosting an hour-long piano recital with pianist Sara Davis Buechner, who will perform music composed by Beethoven, Chopin and Gershwin live on YouTube this Saturday.

The event can be found at 5 p.m. on the Sinfonietta’s YouTube channel. Registration is not required.

Buechner had planned to join the Sinfonietta for a series opener this past summer, a performance now rescheduled for next summer.

Buechner has appeared several times with the Lake Placid Sinfonietta. She has been lauded for her “intelligence, integrity and all-encompassing technical prowess” (New York Times), “thoughtful artistry in the full service of music” (Washington Post) and “astounding virtuosity” (Philippine Star). Japan’s InTune magazine sums up: “Buechner has no superior.”
