LAKE PLACID — Concert pianist Sara Davis Buechner will perform in a virtual concert hosted by the Lake Placid Sinfonietta next Saturday.

The concert, on YouTube live, is slated for 5 p.m. on Sept. 26. Sinfonietta Music Director Stuart Malina will introduce Buechner, who will be broadcasting this concert from her home in Philadelphia.

Buechner has appeared several times as a soloist with the Lake Placid Sinfonietta and was scheduled to appear this past summer prior to performances being canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to being an award-winning musician, as a proud transgender woman, Buechner also appears as a speaker and performer at important LGBTQ events, and has contributed interviews and articles about her own experience to numerous media outlets worldwide.
