Saranac Lake seeks member for Arts and Culture Advisory Board

SARANAC LAKE — The village of Saranac Lake seeks candidates interested in volunteering for the Arts and Culture Advisory Board, which has one vacant seat.

Candidates will add to the nine-member board and work on a volunteer basis. The board’s purpose is to make recommendations to the village Board of Trustees on plans and projects, and to take initiative in implementing the village Arts and Culture Master Plan. Board members will meet at least once a month.

Ideal candidates will bring fresh ideas, strong community networks and diverse perspectives. They should be residents of the village and own an arts or culture-related business, or be affiliated with an arts/culture organization. A position description can be found on the Community Development page of the village’s website under the Arts and Culture page.

Interested candidates should email a letter of interest highlighting their background, skills and interests by June 21 to village Community Development Director Jamie Konkoski at comdev@saranaclakeny.gov. Questions can be directed to her by email or at 518-891-4150 ext. 235.
