Input sought on plan for Tupper waterfront

TUPPER LAKE — The village is seeking public input on a draft of a plan for future improvements to the Municipal Waterfront Park.

The open house workshop will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the courtroom in the back of the village office.

Members of the public can see the preliminary design and provide input on location of improvements, landscaping and compatibility with local events.

The draft designs build upon the previously completed Park Master Plan and include a fishing pier, Cliff Avenue boat dock and Flanders Park walking loop on the shore of Raquette Pond. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with village representatives and Jere Tatich, a project designer from Elan.3 Consulting. Elan.3 will prepare a final schematic design for the park and construction documents for specific improvements based on the input gathered during the meeting.

This project is funded by the state Department of State under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund.
