Weather Service warns about flooding, wind

The National Weather Service in Burlington, Vermont, has issued a weather advisory warning of possible minor flooding of the AuSable River and its tributaries Saturday.

Widespread rainfall is anticipated through Thursday in portions of northern New York.

That rainfall, according to the Weather Service, will result in bank rises on local streams and rivers, with the possibility of some minor low-lying flooding.

Gusty westerly winds with isolated power outages could happen in down-slope regions of the eastern Adirondacks, with a portion of that area slated to see possible wind gusts of up to 45 or 50 miles per hour on Sunday.
