Early voting starts Saturday

This is the first year New Yorkers are able to vote before Election Day — at the polls, not just with absentee ballots. The state Legislature and governor approved early voting for this year, and the state’s counties have implemented it.

Early voting begins Saturday, running through Sunday, Nov. 3. Franklin and Essex counties will have it in a single location: the Franklin County Courthouse in Malone and the Essex County Public Safety Building in Lewis. Here are the hours:

¯ Saturday, Oct. 26: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

¯ Sunday, Oct. 27: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

¯ Monday, Oct. 28: 12 to 8 p.m.

¯ Tuesday, Oct. 29: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

¯ Wednesday, Oct. 30: noon to 8 p.m.

¯ Thursday, Oct. 31: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

¯ Friday, Nov. 1: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

¯ Saturday, Nov. 2: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

¯ Sunday, Nov. 3: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
