PLATTSBURGH — A person is in police custody regarding a threatening social media post, according to State Police.

According to a State Police press release, the State Police, the Plattsburgh City Police Department and SUNY Plattsburgh Police Department were alerted to a social media post that referenced threats targeting “Saranac.”

State Police said the post was regarding a specific individual and not a building, school or community. State Police were vague in describing the post and its contents.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further information was available Sunday evening.
